I can’t believe I have my first credit card in 8 years! I had terrible credit for many years (since 2018 – long story) but when I got my paychecks switched over to Chime (who I now bank with), my credit started jumping. Since October of last year (2025), my credit went from the 400’s to 712 which isn’t bad. My credit used to be like 800. If I can keep this up, my credit may go back up to 800 again which is my goal! But I actually got approved for an American Express credit card a couple of weeks ago and I just got it in the mail on Friday. I was so happy! My credit line is only $300, but they review my card every year, and if my payments are on time, I can increase my limit once a year. So I’m really happy. 😉
